Quality Improvement and Accreditation Officer

For over 30 years, Yadu Health Aboriginal Corporation (YHAC) provides an affordable and accessible Aboriginal Community Controlled Health service with a range of culturally safe and high-quality services.  YHAC strives to improve the wellness and health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in our communities within Ceduna and the surrounding areas. 

The Opportunity

In this role, you will work collaboratively throughout YHAC within the Corporate Service Team. The ability to develop relationships with our organisation and with external providers is imperative. 

YHAC provides an affordable and accessible Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service within Ceduna and the surrounding areas.  

We are seeking an experienced person to join our corporate team.

Working Arrangements:

  • Initial appointment is for a 12 month contract will apply.

  • Position is that of Quality Improvement and Accreditation Officer with a probationary period up to six months.

  • Admin - 4, Level 1  ca. $72,000-$75,600pa with generous salary sacrifice provisions.

  • Flexible Full time hours 37.5 per week worked across 5 days.

  • Current COVID-19 Vaccines & Booster ,  National Police Clearance & Working with Children Check.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate all accreditation projects and activities against relevant standards for each program.

  • Coordinate the development, implementation, completion, and reporting of accreditation plans.

  • Act as central coordinator for all accreditation activities and reporting for programs.

  • Provide timely, expert advice to the Board of Directors, CEO and managers regarding formal accreditation processes.

  • Coordinate the review of all Yadu health policy and procedure manuals,

  • Provide reports and information to management on the progress of quality and risk activities related to programs.

  • Coordinate and manage reviews and evaluation of final reports from internal and external audits across Yadu health, including the management of corrective actions.

  • Assist with the application of the YHAC’s Continuous Quality Improvement systems.

  • Coordinate activities and programs to ensure legislative compliance and including with the WH&S Act and Regulations.

  • Participate in organizational quality reviews and corporate policies and procedures, implementing changes as necessary.

  • Participate in accreditation and quality working groups including in audit and best practice programs.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Experience in working with Aboriginal people and communities.

  • Solid understanding of the WHS Act 2012 and regulations.

  • Strong knowledge of accreditation processes.

  • Exceptional analytical skills to identify problems and develop innovative and creative solutions.

  • High standard of written and verbal communication skills.

  • Advanced computer literacy skills including MS Office.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing tasks and priorities.

 

We are looking for candidate that is self-motivated, that has attention to detail and possess initiative to seek out tasks.

MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST

Yadu Health Aboriginal Corporation (YHAC) has an exciting opportunity for a Medical Receptionist to join our multi-disciplinary medical practice team, as part of a casual pool.

Ideally, you will be a dedicated, energetic and skilled person with a strong work ethic.  Having some understanding of Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services, along with some understanding and experience in the customer service area will be beneficial.

The Medical Receptionist is responsible for the delivery of high-quality administrative tasks, along with having an exceptional customer service manner. Full individual support and onsite training will be provided.  

 

Working Arrangements:

  • Initial appointment as a fixed term employment contract

  • Admin-1-2, Level 1
